Steve Roberts is a Director at PwC in Cape Town. He is a chartered accountant, certified information systems auditor and holds a post graduate diploma in financial markets.

Steve is a member of the PwC Southern African National Governance and Risk team. He was admitted to the partnership in 1999. In his 12 years as a partner he has been extensively involved in delivering governance, risk and compliance solutions for a large range of clients in the private sector and spanning all levels of the public sector.

In January 2010, following the release of King III, Steve was appointed to the PwC National Governance Team and he has specifically focused on developing and implementing governance solutions for the last 18 months. He presented a paper on Governance in Africa at the PwC Business and Tax Symposium hosted in Dubai in September 2010. He has also presented at various South African conferences on various governance topics.

Following on from the governance assessments Steve is currently assisting a number of clients with the development and implementation of their internal control frameworks and combined assurance models.
